Just The Tip: 5 Ways To Use Lemons (beyond eating and drinking…)

Happy Friday, party people.

I hope you have festive weekend plans involving sleep, sun, and general deliciousness. In case you were wondering, I’ll be spending most of the weekend in my apartment testing the entire Dude Diet cocktail list with my roommate. I did something similar before shooting Cocktails and Confessions, and things got pretty weird, so wish us luck. If you don’t hear from me by Tuesday, assume the worst (aka time-release, multi-day hangover).

Anyhoo, before I fall down the boozy rabbit hole, I thought I’d take a moment to touch on the magic of lemons. Not only do they taste awesome (duh), but they can actually be put to work in your kitchen in a number of exciting ways beyond just eating and drinking. From deodorizing trash cans to acting as a natural insect repellent, lemons are the answer to so many of your kitchen problemz, and I’m thrilled to share some of their wondrous uses in this week’s Just The Tip. You know what I always say, “When life gives you lemons…use them to sanitize your cutting boards!” (That one’s going to catch on. I know it.)

p.s. I’ve recently received several emails regarding the name of this web series. Some peeps were very worried that I wasn’t familiar with the street meaning of “just the tip.” I’m actually quite flattered by this concern, as it suggests that I appear much classier than I actually am…
